Check out the Dreamland Heritage Trust virtual exhibition which features four galleries and a cinema room showcasing stories and images from over the past 100 year history.

The Dreamland Heritage Trust  launched its 360-degree virtual exhibition following the centnary in July 2020. The Scenic100 exhibition focuses on the park’s historic wooden roller coaster and Dream100 virtual space celebrates Dreamland as an amusement and cultural hub.

“The virtual exhibition formed part of The Dreamland Heritage Trust and Dreamland Margate’s programme of events designed to celebrate this milestone in the park’s history, has been supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and developed in collaboration with the creative team at Olby’s Creative hub and 360 Vista in Margate.

The Dreamland Heritage Trust holds a large archive of historic material, including images, ephemera and documentation from the early 1870s through to the present day. Part of the archive has been digitized by SEAS, and a section of it if now accessible via the Dreamland portal on the SEAS website.

About SEAS
The South East Archive of Seaside Photography (SEAS) is located at Canterbury Christ Church University.  The collection includes Dreamland (commissioned by the Dreamland Trust) and the substantial Sunbeam Photographic Company Archive, the main commercial photographic company that ‘worked’ the Isle of Thanet’s coastline. This latter collection is owned by Thanet District Council.
